American Tribal workshop with Khali Ahn of NYC


Want to learn classic American Tribal style dance? Don't miss this chance to study with Khali Ahn founder & director of "Tribe" ATS dance troupe from New York City. Khali Ahn is teaching at Al Kahina Dance Studio on August 16.
 
Khali studied with Karen Gehrman & Carolena Nericchio of Fat Chance Belly Dance so this is the real thing! If you took her introductory class in June, you know what a good teacher she is - with clear & articulate break down of the technique. Khali Ahn will cover technique & combinations and using the zils with the dance. Space is limited. You must pre-register.

This is a mixed level - beginners, intermediate, advanced.

Khali Ahn began dancing at age 4 with the study of ballet, later followed by extensive studies in tap and jazz in Chicago, New York City, and Greenwich, CT. She began studying belly dance in 1996 in New York City and taught classes there as well as performed at Museums, parties, and festivals including Renaissance and SCA fairs. Khali founded and directed an American Tribal Style Belly Dance troupe in NYC for 5 years.
She studied privately with Karen Gehrman (Assistant Director of FCBD) & Carolena Nericchio (founder & director of Fat Chance Belly Dance). Khali teaches & performs the classic ATS style developed by Carolena Nericcio, director of Fat Chance Belly Dance of San Francisco, CA.
